Residential and Commercial Plan Differences
All residential plans include 256Kbps upload bandwidth which will support a single computer or small home network. Commercial plans have equal download and upload bandwidth rates to support medium to large networks, hosting of web and e-mail servers, and large file attachments.
Installation Charges
Fixed Wireless Installation Charge is $200. Residential plans may pay the install fee in installments. Ask for details. In some cases an amplifier is required to boost the signal if you you have many obstructions to the wireless signal or if you are on the edge of our coverage area. If an amplifier is required, you will be quoted after your site survey has been conducted. SoMD Wireless will under NO circumstance charge for an amplifier unless it has been agreed upon by the customer.

Commercial Dedicated T1 Services
We do much more than "wireless". If you are outside of our wireless coverage area, or if you prefer the benefits of a traditional "wired T1" service, we can meet your needs. A wired service has two components, a loop (the physical circuit) and a port (the amount of bandwidth that "rides" on the loop). Loop charges in the local area are typically in the $200-$300 range depending on your location and this will be billed directly to you at cost. We will assist you in all aspects of provisioning the loop. Once your loop is set up, you can choose whatever commercial plan option you need from the pricing list above. We allow you to upgrade or downgrade your bandwidth at any time to meet your needs or budget!
Higher than 1.54Mbps is available but requires either bundling multiple T1's together or a DS3 loop. That is quoted on a case-by-case basis.
